EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND CANCELLED CLASSES

Extracurricular Rambler activities (e.g., tournaments, volunteer events) held during scheduled class times are considered classes. Belt testing sessions, Rambler student ceremonies, and other Rambler events are also part of the curriculum. Cancelled classes will be addressed separately.

Ramblers' Seventh Annual Walk and Rally for Bullying Prevention and Child Safety (October 1, 2022)

Who: We Lead By Example, Inc./Tae Kwon Do Ramblers Self-Defense Systems
What: Seventh Annual Walk and Rally for Bullying Prevention and Child Safety
When/Where: Saturday, October 1--9:30 - 11:30 a.m. registration and walk; 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. rally. The walk will begin at Bladensburg Community Center, 4500 57th Avenue, Bladensburg, Maryland 20710. Walkers will be accompanied by an officer of the Bladensburg Police Department. The rally will take place back at the community center gymnasium. Refreshments will be provided.
Registration: E-mail Ms. Susan McCutchen to register; however, registration is not required.

Ramblers' Second Annual Invitational Martial Arts Tournament in Honor of Dr. Clifford Thomas (TO BE SCHEDULED IN 2023)

Who: Tae Kwon Do Ramblers Self-Defense Systems/We Lead By Example, Inc.
What: Second Annual Invitational Martial Arts Tournament. Competition for youth of all ages (18 and under) in weapons, katas, and sparring. Food and beverages will be sold at the event. Safety equipment is required--no excuses. No coaching! 
When/Where: Saturday, TO BE SCHEDULED--9:00 a.m. registration; 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. competition. The tournament will take place at Bladensburg Community Center, 4500 57th Avenue, Bladensburg, Maryland 20710.
Registration: Competitors: $50. Black-belt competition restricted to youth 18 and under. Spectators: $10. Children: $5 (age 5 and above); FREE for children under age 5. Rambler competitors should see Ms. McCutchen to pre-register. Competitors from invited schools who wish to pre-register should mail a certified check or money order (payable to We Lead By Example, Inc.) to Ms. Susan McCutchen, 5404 Spring Road, Bladensburg, Maryland 20710. Cash, money order, and credit card payments will be accepted on the day of the event.

TRIBUTE TO GRANDMASTER DR. CLIFFORD THOMAS

Dr. Thomas passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2021. We are heartbroken but are carrying on his legacy.
