BLADENSBURG COMMUNITY CENTER
POLICY ON THE PAYMENT OF CLASS FEES AND ATTENDANCE CHECK-IN PROCEDURE
Effective November 20, 2010, students must register with M-NCPPC to attend Dr. Thomas' classes and pay the class
fees at that time. (Tae kwon do class fees are not prorated.) Further, the parents of younger
students (or older students themselves) must check in with the community center front desk staff before
each Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday class. Note that in the event of class cancellations you will be
notified by center staff if you are registered. If you have any questions about these policies,
please contact Dr. Thomas at 202-251-1030.
Listen for schedule update announcements made in class during the course of our 8-week sessions, and
particularly continue to refer to this and the Classes page to keep up to date. Our sessions are ongoing throughout
the year. The dates for sessions will be listed as they become official through the M-NCPPC.
Winter Session Began on February 15, 16, and 18
Go to the Classes Page for the Appropriate Registration Bar Codes
Thank you to those who have already registered. Registration is either online through M-NCPPC or in person at Bladensburg
or at other M-NCPPC community centers. Keep in mind that everyone should register and pay the first day of class attendance,
so that students can be accounted for and their attendance tracked appropriately for everyone concerned, including the class
participants. If you register online, please be sure to bring in your receipt to ensure the information has come up in the
center's records. If you have any questions or concerns about which class to sign up for or about payment,
talk with Dr. Thomas or Ms. McCutchen. Thank you!
Upcoming Events Page
Just a reminder to keep up to date about events on the horizon. Consider attending the Friday,
March 2, dance musical production by DC's Northeast Performing Arts Group's dancers, ages 3 through 25, in honor of Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr., and his legacy.
So Much to See and Read on the Website Pages!
Take some time to go through the webpages on this site to read articles and see photos and
videos. A photo of the first new white belts of 2012 is on the Belt Advancements Photos page--check it out!
Call for Photos and Videos (Please Sign a Photo and Video Release Form)
Check out the events photos posted on the website. If you have taken photos and videos and can fill in the blanks with a few of your
"good shots," for example, group photos from class with Dr. Thomas and his students, send them to Ms. McCutchen electronically or
provide her with a CD. It is helpful if you review them first and send those of the best quality and subject variety. Dr. Thomas
reviews all submissions and he chooses the most appropriate for posting based on several criteria. See Ms. McCutchen for the
new photo and video release form if you have not already signed one. Thank you!
